Allah the Exalted said: (Say (O Muhammad to mankind): “If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Qur’an and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”) (The Noble Qur’an 3:31)

Allah made Muhammad a role model for us to follow. The way to salvation in this life and the Hereafter is by following and adhering to his Sunnah (way)

Narrated by Anas ibn Malik that the Prophet said: (Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not of me.) (Al-Bukhari & Muslim)
