As-Salat is Obligatory

Allah the Exalted said: (Verily, As-Salat (the prayer) is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours.) (The Noble Qur’an 4:103)

Jabir heard the Prophet saying: (Verily between man and between polytheism and disbelief is the abandonment of prayer) (Muslim).
