HOW TO PERFORM TAYAMMUM

Intend in your heart; say Bismillah (in the name of Allah); and hit the ground with your two hands (palms) once.
Rub the face with your hands once (it is fine to blow the excessive sand before rubbing the face).
Finally, rub your two hands up to the wrist once. By this, you have completed the tayammum The Prophet showed Amar how to make ablution; he said: (It would have been sufficient for you to do it like this. The Prophet then hit lightly the earth with his hands and then blew off the dust and passed his hands over his face and hands.) (Al-Bukhari)
