Allah appointed the Messenger Muhammad as a role model for us to follow. The way to salvation in this life and the Hereafter is to adhere to his Sunnah (way).

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet said: ( All my Ummah (nation) shall enter paradise except for those who refuse. The companions said: And who will refuse the Messenger of Allah? He said: Whoever obeys me shall enter paradise, and whoever disobeys me has refused.) (Al-Bukhari)
