• Chat with Quran Experts (User-Generated Content): To facilitate a personalized experience, we require a Name so our experts can address you properly. We also store the text messages, images, videos, and documents you send within the chat for continuous educational support.
• Audio Data: We collect audio data solely for the purpose of sending voice messages in the chat feature.
• Device Information: We collect basic device info and Device IDs (FCM tokens via Google Firebase) to send you chat notifications (expert replies) and daily Quranic verses.
• Trial Class Registration (via Webview): When you visit the “Classes” tab, you interact directly with our website (https://www.alquranlab.com). If you register for a trial class, we collect your: Name, Email Address, Mobile Number, Available Time Slots, City, and Country.

2. App Permissions Usage

To provide our services, our app requests the following specific permissions:

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Used strictly for recording and sending voice queries to our Islamic experts. Audio is only recorded when you manually interact with the microphone button. We do not record audio in the background.
• Storage/Media: Used to allow you to download Tafseer documents or upload images/videos/documents to the chat.
• Notifications: Used to alert you of expert replies and daily educational content.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected solely to:

• Identify you during live chat sessions with Quran experts.
• Contact you regarding your requested trial Quran classes.
• Improve our educational services and overall user experience.
• Note: We never sell or share your personal data (such as email and phone number) with third-party advertisers or marketers.

4. Third-Party Services & Data Storage

We use reputable third-party providers to ensure your data is handled securely:

• Google Firebase: We use Firebase to power our chat infrastructure. Your Name, Chat Messages, Audio, and Media are stored securely on Google’s encrypted servers.
• Webview Interface: Data entered in the “Classes” tab or its internal pages is sent directly to our secure website servers and is subject to our website’s strict security protocols.

5. Data Retention & Deletion Policy

We give you full control over your data.

• Chat Data (Auto-Deletion): We retain your chat history (messages, images, videos, documents, audio) only as long as necessary to provide the service. All chat data is automatically deleted from our servers after 90 days.
• Registration Data: Class registration data is kept strictly to manage your enrollment and schedule.
• Manual Data Deletion Request: You have the right to request a copy of your data or request immediate deletion of your chat history or registration information at any time before the 90-day auto-deletion. To request data deletion, contact us at:

6. Children’s Privacy

Given the nature of an educational Quran App, we recognize that children may use this service. AL Quran Lab is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent and are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can remove the data.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data during transit and at rest. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

PART 2: TERMS & CONDITIONS (NOTICE BOARD)

Everyone using our platform agrees to these terms and conditions. AL Quran Lab has the full right to change its policies anytime without any prior notice. Changes will be displayed on this page.

AL Quran Lab is a non-partisan educational platform providing Quranic text, audio, Tafseer, and direct access to Islamic experts for guidance and learning.

2. Neutrality & Affiliation

AL Quran Lab does not belong to any social, political, holy, civil, military, activist group, or sect. We do not have any interest in these organizations or movements. Our sole focus is Quranic education.

3. Financial Policy

• Fees & Tips: AL Quran Lab only accepts official fees from students for educational services. Any amount paid above the set fee is considered a tip or an act of appreciation.
• Discounts: Any fee discounts are entirely subject to individual teachers’ decisions.
• Refunds: All payment amounts are non-refundable. Please pay wisely.
• Responsibility: AL Quran Lab is not responsible for “others’ money” outside of our official transactions.

4. Safety, Patriotism & Government Cooperation

• National Safety: AL Quran Lab will fully cooperate with Pakistan Government Departments (such as FBR, PSEB, law enforcement, etc.) when needed to ensure the safety of our nation and to prove our patriotism.
• Prohibited Users: Individuals involved in any suspicious, anti-state, hateful, or harmful activity, speech, content, groups, or movements must stay away from AL Quran Lab. There is absolutely no place for them on our platform.
• User Independence: We are an educational platform and are not responsible for any individual student’s outside activities, interests, or actions.

5. User Conduct & UGC (User-Generated Content) Policy

To ensure a safe and respectful learning environment, you agree not to:

• Use the Chat feature to send offensive, defamatory, hateful, or inappropriate content.
• Harass the experts or other users.
• Spam the platform with commercial advertisements.
• Note: We strictly reserve the right to review chat content and immediately suspend or block any user who violates these conduct rules, without prior notice.

6. Scams & Official Communication

Official links and communications are only provided on our official website (https://www.alquranlab.com). Beware of scammers and spammers. Messages, content, or claims made by public members do not represent AL Quran Lab, and we take no responsibility for them.

7. Expert Guidance & Content Disclaimer

• The “Chat with Expert” feature provides educational and religious information only. It does not constitute legal, medical, or professional advice. Use the information provided at your own discretion.
• We can make mistakes (as human beings) in education and content. We encourage all users to do their own research.

8. Intellectual Property

The app design, code, and original content are the property of AL Quran Lab. Quranic text and translations are used for educational purposes under standard digital distribution norms.

9. Limitation of Liability

AL Quran Lab is provided on an “as is” basis. While we strive for 100% accuracy in our data and the availability of our experts, we are not liable for any service interruptions, technical errors, or outcomes resulting from the use of our educational information.

Location Permission: To provide you with an accurate Qibla direction, this app collects your precise location data. This data is used solely to calculate the heading from your current position and is not stored or shared with third parties. the Qibla finder feature is optional for users, if they don’t wan’t to use it , it’s okay they can still use app’s other features.
